Lilly&#8217;s favorite, Aiden on the other hand usually turns up his nose and asks where the rest of dinner is when we have potatoes.  So I made a hot dog special just for him (his favorite.)  He&#8217;d just sat down at the table next to his sister as I was busy placing potato fixin&#8217;s on the table, when he asked me, &#8220;Mom. What kind of hot dogs are these?&#8221;  &#8220;Oscar Meyer &#8211; Is that okay with you Aiden?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I mean are they meat?&#8221; (Long pause)  (One time Lilly told me <!--more-->that she could only eat chicken nuggets because she just couldn&#8217;t eat animals anymore &#8211; So I proceeded with great caution)  &#8220;Well yes son, hot dogs are meat.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Now Aiden <u>without<\/u> the least bit of detectable witticism and a small voice said, &#8220;we eat animal weenies?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Luckily my back happened to be turned to my son as he questioned me about the origin of the meat for hot dog weenies.  I kept my back turned (to conceal my amusement) and explained what &#8220;meat&#8221; was probably in a hot dog.  (hmmm)<\/p>\n<p>He ate his weenie and we ate our potatoes.  He even discussed his preference for a plain weenie or perhaps a weenie with just cheese &#8211; but not ketchup, mustard, pickles or chili.<\/p>\n<p>I, on the other hand don&#8217;t think that I can eat a hot dog weenie for a while (with a straight face at least.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you ever wish you could have dinner at my house?
